We had a pretty full on day, went to charlestown early this morning, got santa photos (1.5 hours all up there) then went to payless shoes, and big w, then drove back towards home, went to subway and maccas for the girls and onto Murray's Beach to eat our lunch, 1.2km walk whilst heidi rode her bike, a play in the park, and then mick did the lawns when we got home and i got the washing all up to date and dry. now need to fold it. looking forward to 'its a knockout!' on telly tonight. hope its as good as the original series...

Hey girls...

it is VERY quiet here
must be time to get some BCs going again,.... just need to find some time on my end...

Today was mad!!!
and not int he cool teenage rating of 'mad' more like madness!!!

left home at 8.20 - picked up one dancer - drove them all to rehearsal at Singleton [20mins]
planned to drop and leave but there was madness there - crying kids in Siennas group who Meah keep bringing to me - so i satyed till 10.30
raced home took CJ to a Bday party and drove straight back up there to collect Sienna - who wanted to stay and watch Meah... so we left at 12.30 and raced bck to pick up CJ - took them both home and left them with Zac to watch a movie....
Went up and picked up meah & Ashley... arived just in time to watch meah in the finale dance ....

so cant wait till saturday - concert day...

spent the afternoon trying to get my kitchen& laundry back together - as there is stuff all over the house...
it is a slow job!!!

anyway - its nearly bed time for the kids so I can then sit and relax in front of the TV with Zac.... need some chill out time i think!!!

wish i was in the mood to scrap - but im not Rolling Eyes affraid Sad
planning to have a scrapping day on sunday with mum I think....
well hopefully!!!

better go and get the kids books read and teeth cleaned etc...

chat soon

HOT Sunday Empty
PostSubject: Re: HOT Sunday   HOT Sunday EmptySun Nov 27, 2011 8:12 pm

it's hot here too

had a fab night out and met some lovely people, awesome food and venue. We met up with 1 couple for breakfast, did Christmas shopping for the girls' teachers on the way home, got home and I had a huge sleep while John did the shopping and cooked a bbq for dinner

my scrap room is such a mess, it's just putting me off as I'll have to clean up before I start anything new. Probably won't get much done this week between ballet classes, work, Grace's first drama concert and Kate's ballet concert there isn't much time left. I need to start Christmas shopping as apart from the teachers I have done nothing.

Deb what have you got the teachers? you are a teacher, what would you like to receive from your students as a gift?

PostSubject: Re: HOT Sunday   HOT Sunday EmptySun Nov 27, 2011 8:59 pm

to be honest I just really appreciate a card/note from parents with some nice words.

I think it's hard to buy for teacher's though being a teacher. Sometime we make stuff - have made clipboards, covered notebooks but this year I got Grace's teacher a diary, Kate's teacher some tea and a mug as she loves tea, the music teachers - I got 2 different platters and then just very small platters for the Special Ed staff - they don't really support Grace but feel like they have to be acknowledged.

I try not to get chocolates or body lotion as that seems to be something teachers get a lot of - although I don't mind getting chocolates. One year a parent made me a hamper with fresh strawberries, marshmallows and chocolate. A Christmas decoration is cool too - I often hang decorations on my tree that remind me off particular students.

Hope that helps. To me it's more about the thoughts/words than the gift, if that makes sense.
