| Carol & I set off this morning for the Central Coast to check retreat venues..... and we even got to meet up with Kate briefly too,.... the 1st venue was awesome.... as Kate said so perfectly it has that "SFS Retreat Feel" - and it is just perfect!!!! With an awesome large room to scrap in and LOADS of bedrooms it will suit us just perfectly!!! in all my excitemnet i didnt get a pic inside the scrap room - oops!!! the 2nd venue was great too - but we have a curfew issue so I am going to try to run something a bit different there.. and the 3rd one was GREAT too - on a different level to the others - very motel style/conference facilities - but will work well I think I now have the fun task of working out figures - obtaining exact quotes - and then putting up dates ans teachers so that you can all book in to come and Join us at the 1st SFS Desinger Retreats. | |

Peta was the same, we could have left her there and come back in a few months time for a retreat! and we almost had Carol into the bath tub as well. its very tranquil and so relaxing

| I have been to a retreat where we couldnt get in the door until 8am and had to be out by 9pm to me its a waste of money as your second wind usually kicks in around 9 to 10 pm | |

| Gosh 9pm is a bit early. A lot of conference places deny access from midnight because of penalty rates for staff but by 9pm we are just getting started | |

| lets put it this way - i think the whole motel/conference venue is NOT what im really after..... on saying that i will give a local one a go and see how it pans out.... | |

I know Peta but places like Nonaweena or Lakeside Guest House are few and far between (especially down this way) - especially if you are trying to avoid the sport and rec style. It really only leaves the more traditional motel conference centre unless you go Hawkesbury/Blue Mountains or further north to Port Stephens. I'll keep thinking on it!!

| yes mal it was only one that ive found so far that had the curfew..... its because they are only small and don't 'stay on site' at all... and all buildings are on one alarm..... weird!!!!
anyway!!!
i have found another venue up mid north coast which is loking promising - just need a BIG road trip to go view - dont want to do a site unseen,....
